XTB
x10

As some would already know I use CBUS for my lighting control and also audio and may be wondering why I would be using x10. Since I use Homevision which is feature rich in regards to x10 and x10 modules are very cheap I thought I would take advantage of this...I purchased some plugin dimmers and appliance modules and a din mount appliance module for my workshop. After installing these modules I found I wasnt getting reliable operation (surprize surprize) so they gathered dust for a while...
Then I came across Jeffs XTB on one of the Forums and decided to purchase a 240v version in kit form...When I received the kit I put it together using instuctions Jeff supplied ...Powered it up and did a quick test ....It worked and was much improved but I still had some dead spots even in my small house...At the time I was too busy with work to investigate why ........So more dust was gathered...

Recently had some time off work so decided to have another look at getting reliable x10 coverage around my house...I contacted Jeff and he kindly send me the latest firmware so I could upgrade my XTB pic...Once this was done I did some more testing and found that no matter where I plugged in a module the x10 signal would reach....The din mount appliance module in my workshop which is the farthest point worked reliably ....no more dead spots..
Im using the XTB in Booster mode and this is working great ...I did try and use it connected directly to Homevision but found I could only control my test LD11 reliably .
Anyway looks like the XTB has come to my rescue and if your having x10 dead spots I would suggest trying the XTB........
