I have just started playing with the logic function as I wanted to be able to control both sets of my lounge lites ( and kitchen) with individual key inputs but also be able to turn both sets on at 50% when its late nite or early morning ...The late nite early morning function is achieved by Genesis using timers(with pirs triggering the lighting via aux inputs) ... Only I group (lite) can be assigned to an input so some logic programming is necessary..... Channels 1 + 2 are the lounge lites 3+4 are the kitchen lites...These are normally controlled by the 4 gang key input called lounge1 (see4 gang input programming) . So I created a dummy group called pir lounge so I could control both sets of lounge lites . Not sure if this is the correct method for using groups with logic but it appears to work ok.. As can be seen from the screen shot channel 1+2 are both logically ored using the dummy group pir lounge and their respective lounge lite group. The and/or function is selected by toggling the “max” box at the bottom of the screen shot .. If an “ and” is selected the box displays“ min”.The kitchen lites use the same logic as the lounge lites ....... In my bedroom I have a 4 gang key input used as follows. 1: key input 1 on short press to turn on/off lites on long press dim/brighten (if button held) bedroom lites. 2: key input 2 which on short press turns on the bedroom fan and starts a timer ... And on long press turns off the bedroom fan. 3: key input 3 which on short press turns on bedroom lites to preset level (recall1) and starts a timer ....and on long press turns off the bedroom lites ........had to create a dummy group as can be seen by the screen shot ....channel 6 is the bedroom lite. This was so I could create an or function using key 1 input or key 3 input............ 4: Key input 4 which on short press triggers a ramp off command to all dimmers ... Long press triggers an off key command which after all dimmers have ramped off then turns off all relay loads........... Back to C_Bus Main Page
