Some pics of my Clipsal C_Bus Infrared setup which I have just installed. The reason to install the Clipsal ir kit was because I had a nice C_Touchscreen and thought it would be good if I could control my kit with it via my Homevision / FirM setup... Top Left hand pic is of the stick on emitters which are located adjacent the Homevision ir receivers. The top emitter is connected to the C_Bus tx unit channel 1..The bottom emitter is connected to the ir out of my FirM Controller which passes the ir received from any zone receiver via a 38khz oscillator.. Top Right hand side pic is of my 2 zone opto isolated board (isozone) .This board takes the ir from Homevision or C_Bus and passes it through to FirM..The 2 3.5mm sockets are for the ir in signals. The other leads are power in (LHS) and ir out to FirM (RHS). Bottom Left picture is of the C_Bus 2 channel transmitter. I use channel 1 to transmit an ir code the required FirM Zone directly to Homevision. Channel 2 on the C_Bus tx unit goes to the isozone interface and gets passed on to FirM.. The idea is to set up scenes in the Touchscreen which will send 2 ir signals, the first one is send out via channel 1 is the FirM zone number and the second ir signal is sent out via channel 2 and is the actual ir command ie vol up , vol down, mute etc..... Bottom right picture is of the C_Bus ir Reader. The ir reader has a wizard which prompts you to fill in details of the remote you are about to learn. The Next screen asks you if you want to explore the protocol or if you already know the protocol select from a list of standard protocols. No need to explore in this case as the Sanyo is nec format. So Nec is selected in the next screen. The next screen brings up a button template . You can delete buttons that are not required or add buttons that are not listed ...Now we are ready to learn the remote codes starting with the Mute. You are then prompted to press keys and if any are not read correctly an error message comes up and you try again until all are done. Next
