The picture on the left is of the xpl message sender utility which is part of xplhal/manager.
The osd.basic schema is used to send a text message. The clear command tells the pic-osd device to clear the screen before displaying the message.
Text is the actual text you wish to display.
Row selection can be 1 to 11.. Column selection can be 1 to 27.. Delay selection can be 1 to 99 and Alert can be y or n....
Row ,column ,delay,alert are optional but if present must be in the correct order...
