Some more pics of FirM Jr in its housing.. As can be seen from the LHS pic the ir in and ir out are located at the front of the unit along with the power in connector and fuse....The RHS pic shows the rear of the unit where up to six Zone Rx Units can be plugged into using cat5 cable.....Its now ready to send off to the beta tester for final testing. Have bench tested the unit and all worked ok... The unit draws only 40 milli amps in standby with all six receivers plugged in and approx 75 milli amps when txing ir .
Testing was done with approx 16 emitters plugged into two 8 way ir splitters one connected to the ir out of FirM Jr and the other connected to a Zone Rx Unit .
Having ir out available at each Zone Rx Unit as well as as FirM Jr allows kit to be located in each room as well as Node 0 ....
